About Us

The Space Weather Research Group (SWRG) is one of the most important research groups on space weather and solar imaging in Europe with extensive knowledge on the research topic proposed. The group is involved in research projects on processing multi wavelength solar images, developing automated imaging algorithms, feature extraction and classification of solar features and machine learning applications. These carried out in extensive collaborations with several international organisations through publications, projects and grant proposals. These organizations include Royal Observatory of Belgium from Belgium, Laboratoire de Physique et Chimie de l'Environnement et de l'Espace (LPC2E) and, L’Observatoire de Paris from France, International Space Science Institute (ISSI) from Switzerland, Space Weather Prediction Center (SWPC) and CCMC from USA.
